Training and Research

Our practice is involved in the training of Medical Students from Southampton University. With patents consent they may sit in on consultations to broaden their clinical experience. If for any reason you do not wish a medical student to be present during a consultation please let us know when you are approached for permission. Please be assured that the presence of a medical student will not affect the quality of care that you receive. In addition we also host training of nurses and midwives and the same guidance is applicable.

The practice is active in Medical Research and patients are occasionally sent questionnaires or approached about clinical trials. We operate under the Primary Care Research Network (South West) based at the University of Southampton and all studies are of academic rather than commercial interest.
